Founded in by the Village (now City) of Maumee in 1847. In 1910 rising spring floodwater delivered large ice floes into the cemetery, toppling every monument save the Williams family obelisk. Ice flow damage occurred again in 2015 and 2019, however, not as many monuments were toppled as in 1910.
