Although the Cemetery gate says 1840, it appears the cemetery was opened around 1851 when the first log church was built. The earliest markers date around that time. It was once affiliated with Immaculate Conception Church which has been merged with Holy Trinity Parish, Assumption, Ohio in Swanton, Ohio.
